Overview:
Position
The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for maintaining active status for providers by successfully completing credentialing applications as required by our payers.
Responsibilities
- Complete Self Service Desk Tickets per SLA
- Priority 1 completed in 24 hours
- Priority 2 completed within 3 business day
- Priority 3 completed within 5 business days
- Work On Hold Tickets twice a week to review, update, and complete
- Respond to all E-mail/IM’s
- 24 hour turn around
- Projects (when requested)
- Completed by deadline given
- New Provider Credentialing Applications
- Create Verity account and upload all credentialing documents with 24 hours.
- Generate, review, edit, and submit all Payer applications within 5 days.
- Follow up with payers for application status and effective dates every 2 weeks.
- Re-credentialing
- Generate, review, edit, and submit all Payer applications within 1 day
- Follow up with payers for application status and effective dates every 2 weeks
- Additional locations
- Generate, review, edit, and submit all Payer applications within 2 days
- Follow up with payers for application status and effective dates every 2 weeks
Expectations
- Complete all assigned tasks on the Smartsheet and/or assigned via email by the end of each week.
- If working a special project complete as directed and communicate your progress each day.
- Have a positive attitude and always go the extra mile to help others.
- A good attitude and willingness to work as a team
- Bring new suggestions, tips, issues with solutions to our weekly team meetings
- Continual communications between team members
