Today, the spotlight is on Susan Zito. She’s a Hygienist at DentalWorks Fairlawn in Fairlawn, Ohio. She joined the DentalOne family three and a half years ago and has been an RDH for three years and eight months. Let’s dive into her Q. & A.!
Q: What made you decide to become a Hygienist?
A: I’ve always felt that I should’ve become a Hygienist, so I left financing in 2010 and made it happen!
Q: Why did you choose to become part of the DentalOne family?
A: I joined, because I thought it would be a great way to gain experience as a new Hygienist. Jump on in!
Q: If a Hygienist was considering joining a DentalOne supported practice, what would you tell him or her about personal development within the company?
A: Take a deep breath, and be open to guidance and a lot of change. We are always growing!
Q: What types of training and continued education does DentalOne offer you?
A: A great variety of educational experiences are offered! It definitely keeps you on track for your continued education requirements.
Q: What are the benefits of being supported by DentalOne versus working in a private practice?
A: I feel like our office is ONE team that is committed to being successful! I don’t feel like I’m alone as a Hygienist!

A: It helps me to work quickly and efficiently! I am able to provide accurate and complete digital information to our patients!

Q: What’s your hidden talent?
A: I’m pretty crafty…. I love making things!
Q: What’s the most recent app you’ve downloaded but are yet to use?
Q: Given a chance, who would you be for a day and why?
A: My 11-year-old boy! I want to see what kind of human I’m raising!
Q: Are you a spring, summer, fall or winter person and why?
A: My son and I just had this conversation. I love fall in Ohio. Summer is very close to second though.
Q: If you could time travel, would you go to the past or to the future?
A: Definitely the past! I’d love to see how my grandpa lived! He built amazing things. I’ll let the future be a surprise.
Q: What’s one thing about you that surprises people?
A: That I have a 22-year-old son.
